Izmir Shipyard's Success: Delivering New Patrol Boats for the Albanian Police Organization

We are delighted to share the exciting news of Izmir Shipyard's latest accomplishment - the delivery of new patrol boats for the Albanian Police Organization. This significant milestone represents a proud moment for both Izmir Shipyard and our country. Join us as we dive into the details of this remarkable project and the exceptional boats that have been created.

A Groundbreaking Collaboration:

The collaboration between Izmir Shipyard and the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) has paved the way for the development of the patrol and inspection boats, marking the first-ever maritime fleet for the Albanian Police Organization. With its headquarters in Vienna and a presence in over 90 countries, ICMPD is renowned for its expertise in migration policy development. This collaboration underscores our commitment to enhancing migration policies and fostering effective partnerships on a global scale.

Unparalleled Design and Construction:

Under the European Union-funded Effective Management of Europe's Green and Blue Borders project, Izmir Shipyard has demonstrated its exceptional capabilities by crafting unique and high-performing vessels. The project involved the design and production of one 15-meter aluminum boat (IZ 1500 AL) and four 11-meter fiberglass boats (IZ 1100 RC), all equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Despite the challenges, Izmir Shipyard completed the construction of these boats within a remarkable timeframe of just nine months, showcasing our commitment to excellence and efficiency.

A Journey to Remember:

On April 10, 2022, amidst the vibrant Police Week activities, Izmir Shipyard bid farewell to the newly crafted patrol boats with a heartfelt ceremony at Izmir Cumhuriyet Meydanı (Republic Square). These boats embarked on a journey to Durres Port in Albania, where they will serve as an integral part of the Albanian Police Organization's maritime fleet. This momentous occasion marks the beginning of a new era for the organization, enhancing their capabilities in ensuring security and safety in the Albanian waters.

A Testament to Excellence:

The presence of Nazif Inam, Chairman of Izmir Shipyard Shipbuilding Industry Inc., at the farewell ceremony further emphasizes the significance of this achievement. Inam expressed his immense pride and joy in being a part of this prestigious project, highlighting the trust placed in Izmir Shipyard and the value it brings to the table. This successful collaboration showcases our commitment to delivering exceptional results and further solidifies our reputation as a leading shipbuilding company in the industry.

The delivery of new patrol boats for the Albanian Police Organization stands as a testament to Izmir Shipyard's unwavering dedication to excellence, innovation, and international collaboration. We are immensely proud of this milestone, and it reinforces our commitment to pushing the boundaries of shipbuilding and contributing to the maritime industry's advancement. We extend our gratitude to all those involved in making this project a resounding success, and we look forward to embarking on new ventures that will continue to shape the future of shipbuilding and maritime security.
